In Hinduism, Maa Saraswati- Goddess of knowledge is also considered the queen of art, music, and science. She is the companion of Lord Brahma and is the key for all worldly formulations. She is the daughter of Maa Durga and sister to Lord Ganesha.
She is an essential source of energy and wisdom, along with Goddess Kali and Devi Laxmi she performs a pivotal role in maintaining all earthly occurrences.
Goddess Saraswati also executes an essential position in Buddhism as a divine believer of Gautama Buddha making sure his teachings exist in practice. The Lotus on which Devi Saraswati rests is respected as a representative of supreme enlightenment.
The Veena that Saraswati Maa holds does not only signify music but also means knowledge and understanding. As per Vedas, about 4000 years ago in India, a river raced by the name of Saraswati. It was a natural form of Saraswati Mata. Parashuram, the 6th avatar of Lord Vishnu, purified himself in this stream after finishing the Kshatriyas.
